Restaurant week is here! Over 100 restaurants are offering special three-course prix-fixe menus for lunch and dinner throughout the city. Lunch options are $10 or $15 and dinner options are $25 or $35. The menus run through January 27th and you can find a complete list participating restaurants here. Bliss, La Frite, and Restaurant Gwendolyn are all deliciously classic pick for during restaurant. However, I have curated a short list of a few of my top picks that you may not have visited:
Top Lunch Picks
Range: One of the newest restaurants in San Antonio, this place is not to be missed during restaurant week. Serving some of the best steak, seafood, and food in general along with a killer bar menu this will be a lunch you won’t want to leave.
Nicha’s Comida Mexicana: You can never go wrong with Mexican and Nicha’s is a San Antonio classic that has been around for general. All three locations are participating in restaurant week so just choose the location nearest to you!
Mimosa Lounge: When breakfast bleeds into lunch it isn’t always a bad thing. However, this restaurant offers more than brunch. Think lobster bisque and lamb. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and, of course, a bubbly drink.
Top $25 Dinner Spots
Periphery: This restaurant is tucked away in the Monte Vista neighborhood and has already made quite an impression. The high-quality ingredients and interesting dishes make this a place not to miss.
Embers: If you are looking for traditional American food then Embers is the place. The restaurant week menu includes pasta, ribs, pizza, and salmon. There is something for everyone here!
The Bin: If you are looking for something a little more casual and cozy, but not lacking in delicious flavor then check out the bin. This tapas restaurant will allow you to choose six of their most popular items on the menu. Be sure to enjoy a glass of wine or a gin drink while you are there.
Top $35 Dinner Spots
Nonna Osteria: If you haven’t had a chance to check out this new restaurant then now is the time. NONNA Osteria offers artisan Northern Italian cuisine honoring the regional traditions and heritage of Chef Della Casa’s homeland. The goal of the restaurant is to mirror that spirit and share those traditional flavors of Northern Italy executed with a modern flair.
Wildfish Seafood Grille: If you are looking for some stellar seafood then this is your stop. Each fish is hand-selected to our specifications, expertly filet in-house, and prepared simply but elegantly by the executive chef. Sole, scallops and live lobsters from the waters near Cape Cod. Snapper from the Gulf of Mexico. Yellowfin tuna from the Caribbean. And live, seasonal oysters from Tenass Pass, Alaska, Hog Island, California, Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, and the Gulf Coast.
