Your Guide to Brunch

I tried my best to whittle this list down to my top spots, but I quickly realized there is a reason that brunch is my favorite meal. Decadent food and beautiful cocktails are not to be refused. These are my favorite 20 places (that I’ve tried so far). Let me know your favorite place! Clearly, I’m always looking for the next best thing.

  1. 5 Points Local – This is the spot if you are looking for a vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free option. However, don’t be fooled by the “lack” of ingredients. This place has one of the best brunches in San Antonio!
  2. Barbaro – The current moment is always the right time for pizza. If you strongly agree with this statement then Barbaro is for you. They also have great traditional brunch options and a killer drink menu.
  3. Bite – Look no further for an Instagram worthy drink. Go get you one. Also, the food is pretty delicious too.
  4. Botika – If you are looking to break out of the mold with some fusion cuisine then this could be your spot. While I find the regular lunch and dinner food here to be underwhelming the brunch menu is incredible. Don’t miss out!
  5. Cafe Dijon – This is the cutest little French bistro. While the location is tucked away at the quarry the food is worth the hunt. The brunch menu changes every week so you are such to be delighted every time you visit.
  6. Candlelight – Classic San Antonio brunch spot. Don’t miss the green eggs and ham. YUUUUM!
  7. Chela’s Tacos – From a food truck to brick and mortar store these tacos have built an empire and they are here to stay. Prepare yourself for something great. These are a perfect recovery from your Saturday morning hangover.
  8.  Cured – This is, without question, the best brunch in San Antonio. The food is perfection and the cocktails are second to none. If you love a good bloody mary then you need to eat at Cured.
  9. Eggspectation – This place has a modern, yet relaxed feed with the most incredible omelets of all time. The name is truly fitting.
  10. Evan’s BBQ – If you are looking for the best Indian and Pakistani buffet then look no further. While they have a limited buffet and on Sunday only this place is worth the drive. Give it a go!
  11. Feast – This might be the most Instagram-able brunch place in San Antonio with the modern decor. The food is pretty stellar too, but you should definitely make a reservation as the wait can be a bit outrageous.
  12. Halcyon – Looking for chill coffee house vibes? This is your place for classic brunch alone or with a few friends.
  13. Liberty Bar – This place boasts a Classic American brunch even though I think the Migas are my favorite. This is easily a weekly default location.
  14. Mash’D – Delicious Southern food with moonshine so you know you are going to have a good time. The selection of Mimosa combinations is perfection.
  15. NOLA Brunch & Beignets – This Louisiana inspired brunch spot is a perfect place to get your fill of decadence. Hello, shrimp and grits and divine beignets!
  16. Pig Pen – This place has one of the best bloody marys in San Antonio which includes a piece of brisket. (#TexasForever) The food is a delicious southern buffet and you can bring your dog. Win, win, win!
  17. Stella Public House – This place has mimosa flights! Do I need to tell you more?! If you are looking for fresh local ingredients then this is your place. Stella is my mothers must-visit restaurant when she is in town.
  18. Tacos and Tequila – Say hello to the budget-friendly and fully satisfying brunch. This brunch is a $20 buffet and includes 2 mimosas! Not to mention they have food for every dietary restriction AND a DJ. This place is an easy win for large groups.
  19. Tony G’s Soul Food – There are very few things in life more satisfying than soul food. Save the search for those ‘other things’ and indulge. You won’t regret it after your first bite of grits!
  20. Tribeca – If you are looking for something a little more sophisticated, but still fun then this is your place. The eggs benedict are amazing!
