Below are a few easy ways to help the millions of victims affected by Hurricane Harvey:
Donate to the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross provides emergency assistance and disaster relief and is currently providing help to victims of Hurricane Harvey. The organization is urging people to make a donation of $10 by calling 1-800-RED CROSS or texting HARVEY to 90999.
Donate to The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army will remain in communities that have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey to provide long-term disaster recovery efforts and ongoing assistance.
Donate blood at The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center. The center is in urgent need of blood donations, especially type O negative and O positive. Schedule an appointment at southtexasblood.org or call 1-(800) 292-5534 ext. 3500.
Donate or Volunteer at the San Antonio Food Bank. Most wanted donation items are nonperishable food, water, baby food, diapers, flashlights and batteries, new or packaged clothing, hygiene products and cleaning supplies. Donations can be dropped off from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. at the Food Bank warehouse, 5200 Enrique M. Barrera Pkwy. Donations and volunteer registration can be made online.
Donate to The Texas Diaper Bank. The bank is in need of monetary and diaper donations to provide kits to the families that are being displaced. Donations can be made at texasdiaperbank.networkforgood.com or by calling (210) 731-8118.
Donate to the Greater Houston Community Foundation. After receiving an overwhelming number of inquiries from citizens and companies who want to help, Mayor Sylvester Turner has established the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund that will accept tax-deductible flood relief donations for victims that have been affected by the recent floods.
Donate to Houston SPCA. Houston’s first and largest animal protection organization, offering the region’s most comprehensive, highly qualified care and services to animals in need.
The City of San Antonio has coordinated donation drop-off locations for evacuees at district offices. Needed items are nonperishable food, water, baby food, diapers, hygiene items and new clothes. Donations can be taken to:

Donate supplies to Catholic Charities of San Antonio. They are collecting relief supplies to send to victims in Corpus Christi, Port Aransas, Rockport, and other affected areas. You can deliver canned food and bottled water to their headquarters at 202 W. French Place. San Antonio, Texas 78212, or to donate online.
Donate at H-E-B. H-E-B stores will begin taking donations of $1, $3 and $5 at the checkout when you buy groceries. All funds raised will benefit the SA Food Bank, American Red Cross, and The Salvation Army.
Donate to GlobalGiving. This fund will provide relief to survivors in the form of emergency supplies like food, water, and medicine in addition to longer-term recovery assistance to help residents recover and rebuild. All donations to this fund will exclusively support relief and recovery efforts from this storm.
